Relocation in the Hungarian industry
Relocation is not a new phenomenon in the globalizing word economy. However, it has only recently become common, particularly in case of postsocialist countries. In Hungary the first relocation in the manufacturing could be observed at the turn of the millennium. Since then several firms have been relocated. The paper evaluates the major features and impacts of relocation taken place in the Hungarian manufacturing industry. It is particularly important how the latest economic crisis has affected it.
To reveal the differences in the relocation before and after the crisis is also an important aspect. Due to this accelerated process the spatial pattern of Hungarian industry can be also modified to a certain degree.
